When most people think of beauty pageants, they think of pretty girls in swimwear. With in Miss Mansfield we are changing the way people look at beauty pageants & pushing to develop a young ambassador with a strong emphasis on promoting the area & the best that our community has to offer.
Charity will play a major role over the coming year. On the night of the grand final, each of the contestants will champion her own chosen charity. The winner will develop her charitable responsibilities throughout her reign. In this way, she will become a role model for young women throughout the Mansfield, Ashfield and Bolsover area.
The grand finial has also evolved. To ensure the integrity of the event, the swimwear and aerobics section were removed 2 years ago & replaced with a number of performances from local talent.
The judging process is always an extremely difficult job with the girls facing a live audience and remembering complex choreographed routines, furthermore, they will be expected to demonstrate remarkable self-confidence & self awareness in a number of live & private interview sessions.
